Fundamentals and Whole Body Techniques

Who Should Attend: Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers, Massage Therapists

Course Content: This two day course is designed to provide attendees with information and instruction on Kinesio Taping methods. Kinesio Taping is a method of treatment for musculo-skeletal and myofascial disorders and edema control. This method can be used during physical activity and in conjunction with many therapies. Attendees will gain insight into theory and taping techniques for a variety of concerns, including joint instability, muscular weakness, abnormal alignment, pain and inflammation. In addition, this course will focus on issues pertinent to the pediatric population.

KT3: Advanced Techniques and
Problem Solving in Pediatrics
September 6-7, 2008

Who Should Attend: Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers, Massage Therapists

Course Content: In addition to KT1/KT2, attendees will review theory and basic taping techniques, learn advanced and combination techniques, and develop clinical reasoning skills. The course will also provide commonly used taping techniques for specific diagnoses (cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, torticollis, brachial plexus injury, and sports related injuries). This course will focus on advanced techniques specific to the pediatric population.
