Michelle Fayette, Executive Director
Michelle Fayette is the Executive Director of the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center and has been with the Center since December of 2002. Michelle was raised here in Southeast Missouri and was actually in high school when Kenny, Dottie, Mel Tillis and the Gatlins all performed their benefit concerts to build the building we still occupy today. Michelle graduated from SEMO with a degree is in Business Education, but with no openings in area schools, she entered the healthcare field. Michelle served as the Education Coordinator for Poplar Bluff Regional Center for several years and then became a nursing home administrator with Americare before coming to the Center. Michelle brings a unique combination of education and healthcare which works well for the Center since we provide a combination of both school-based and medical-based services.
Lauren Smith, Marketing
Lauren is a 2004 graduate of Charleston High School in Charleston, MO. She went to college at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO where she graduated with a BS in Public Relations. While in college, Lauren was very active in her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. As a member she participated in Relay for Life 4 years, Ronald McDonald House for 4 years, was PR chairman of her sorority, active in intramural sports, and was very active in the community. Lauren is currently a member of Sikeston Young Professionals and active in the community. She is also a member of Charleston Junior Study Club.
